Saving the citizens money
The city of Peoria has a new plan to save tax dollars and raise revenue all at the same time. Since the kids in the East Bluff just walk down the middle of the street, the city has decided to do away with sidewalks all together. If you are lucky enough to have a sidewalk it will be considered a luxury and be taxed accordingly.

I always thought of a group of people walking in the middle of a street as an invitation to play “bowling for crackas”. Just running threw ‘em with your car or truck and see if you can score a perfect strike.

Despite the Ricky Bbobby comment, thought the part that said; ” If you are lucky enough to have a sidewalk it will be considered a luxury and be taxed accordingly.” was funny as hell and sadly, knowing this town, probably true.

“Bowling for Crackas.” That’s rich! You can strike a few more pins if you keep the car door(s) open. Of course it’s cheating, but no one seems to care anymore.

Gotta get me a big truck, and a stick to hang out the window, in case I miss one of ‘em!!!

Now if I have a sidewalk in crappy condition do I have to pay as much as a nice new Distrcit 5 subdivison sidewalk?

Of course you have to pay as much for crappy sidewalks. This is the city of Peoria!
