A letter to the Administration of District 150

As much as we appreciate the meals (feeding us shit sandwiches and telling us it is steak) you provides us with on a regular basis, we are getting damn sick of them. Some of us are intelligent enough to know the difference.
I understand you have a tough job. I must be so hard to find ways to enrich yourselves, friends and family by creating new positions and getting rid of the “unneccesary ones”. Really, who needs lunchworkers, custodians, and teachers? Maybe you can just throw buckets full of food on the gym floor and let the kids fight for it like animals. It will be good training to help them appreciate the shit sandwiches you’ll be feeding them when they grow up.
As someone who has been lucky enough to attend one of your “we’ll pretend like we give a fuck what the community thinks” meetings in the past, I’ll let you in on a secret. You aren’t fooling anyone. We know that it is all feel good PR and that you will do whatever the hell you want regardless of what we think or feel. You already have your minds made up before you even let the community know you are having a meeting but you want us to feel like we made a difference. Unfortunately, alot of the times it works.
In closing, if you are going to constantly bend us over at least use some lube. Shit, tweak a nipple, give a reach-a-round, something to make us feel better about handing over our tax dollars and children to the most greedy, and selfish bunch of bureaucratic fuck stains I’ve ever seen.
Hugs and Kisses,
East Bluff Barbie

I think it is better to say; “If you’re gonna bend me over and ride my ass, you might as well pull my hair.”

Here is a math question: Ill spent $877,500 + yearly property taxes and upkeep = how many less educated children at taxpayer’s expense?

I’ll send the D150 a link to this post. Since they didn’t understand my language, maybe they’ll understand yours. Please maintain the “spunk” level, we are going to need it!

  • kristy, May 7, 2008 @ 10:34 pm

    straight up like it

  • Frustrated, May 7, 2008 @ 11:34 pm

Oh my gosh! You are too funny! I have been wasting my time reading all the more tame blogs that put forth great ideas for change except the District will really never implement any of the ideas. So, I think I might as well tune into your blog – at least it is a stress reliever from all the “crap” that Peorians have to put up with.

  • ImaSwede, May 8, 2008 @ 6:13 am

OMG!!! Say it like you mean it, Sista! And like the rest of us were thinking!!

  • kcdad, May 8, 2008 @ 7:08 am

I appreciate your anger, but pissing on them will just force them to spend your money on umbrellas.
They need to be shut down. The State needs to decertify them, de-authorize or whatever it is the State does.

    Great Post EBB! :)

  • pop, May 8, 2008 @ 8:21 am

Now, you are telling it just like it is!

  • fig, May 8, 2008 @ 8:34 am

This is the very reason why the distict has a big team of lawyers, so they can impliment plans and leave us out of them! Our voices will never be heard!

PS Where is the State Board Of Education?

  • Jaded, May 8, 2008 @ 8:35 am

As a former graduate of the lovely District 150, I have to say…

    SO EFFIN TRUE!

Go on with your bad self, EBB!

    :o )

  • East Bluff Barbie, May 8, 2008 @ 8:54 am

    kcdad,
If they actually cared what we thought they might get pissed and if they spent funds on something useless to education like umbrellas or houses in the park (heavy sarcasm, just in case you didn’t know ;) )just to prove a point it would really show where their priorities are.

    Good post.

Good old District 150. A fine example of government education. Why do we have government schools? Are they an improvement over the all private education we had when this country was founded?

  • Michael, May 9, 2008 @ 4:43 am

It’s going to be hard to force accountability on these people until they can be voted out altogether. The people have allowed most of our ruling bodies to “fix” the election cycles and districts so it is very difficult to hold them responsible in a timely manner. People being what we are we soon forget how we were wronged and don’t vote the villains out when it is months and years later. Remember! Avenge this!

  • East Bluff Barbie, May 9, 2008 @ 9:29 am

There is only one school board member up for re-election and that isn’t until 2009. If only we could do a clean sweep but we need someone with balls to stand up and do what is right regardless of what the administration wants.

  • postsimian, May 9, 2008 @ 11:18 am

idonotknowme – please, don’t try to inject your political beliefs into this. There are plenty of public schools and school boards that do just fine. We just happen to have idiots steering the ship. The kind who spend 20 minutes looking for the “any” key.

EBB – the only way you’re going to get a clean sweep is if people start resigning. To start resigning, they need to be put under enduring pressure. Since they’re obviously not going to put pressure on themselves, you’ll need work through the process at the state level.

Although, I could have sworn I heard a board member on WCBU this morning saying she was quitting, because it’s time for others to step up to the plate. Try calling them up to find out who it was so you can see which voting district she’s in. Maybe someone on here could put their money where their mouth is and run for the seat?

  • postsimian, May 9, 2008 @ 11:26 am

Nevermind, I just called and asked. Her name is Mary Spangler from district 3. I’m guessing that’d be the 2009 person you’re talking about.

  • East Bluff Barbie, May 9, 2008 @ 1:26 pm

The ones for my district were the ones that were voted on last election cycle when we voted for the at large council people and had the Alicia Butler fiasco.
